
Overall Class Championship Requirements
To qualify for a Class Championship, a class must have a minimum of three drivers participating in at least 75% of the season’s events. If a class maintains five or more drivers for 75% of the season, awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Driver of the Year
In recognition of a driver who contributes significantly to the growth of their class and the region, as determined by AZ SCCA management; one award per driver per career.
Rookie of the Year
Awarded to the rookie with the fastest average lap times in class; lap times based on races only, excluding qualifying and practice sessions. Only first year SCCA-licensed drivers are eligible.
Most Improved Driver
Awarded to one, non-rookie driver who participates in all races, measured by race lap time improvements in the final two events compared with the first two events or first half of a season vs the second half. Drivers must compete in all races to be eligible.
Volunteer of the Year
In recognition of his or her service, attitude, and enthusiasm as determined by AZ SCCA management and staff throughout the season. Must attend all official SCCA race events during the year.
