Become a Corner Worker with Arizona SCCA

Get the best seat in the house and be part of the action!

Arizona SCCA is powered by volunteers, and our corner workers are the heart of every race weekend. Positioned trackside, corner workers play a vital role in keeping events safe and running smoothly—while enjoying an unmatched view of the competition.

  • Front Row Access: Experience the excitement of racing from the best vantage points on track.
  • Be Part of the Team: Work side-by-side with racers, officials, and fellow motorsport enthusiasts.
  • Learn the Sport: Gain valuable knowledge about race procedures, flags, and safety—skills that are respected worldwide in motorsports.
  • Travel & Community: Corner working opportunities extend beyond Arizona—you can work regional, national, and even professional events.
  • Give Back to Racing: Every driver depends on the dedication of corner workers. By volunteering, you’re directly supporting the sport you love.

No Experience? No Problem.

We provide all the training you’ll need. New volunteers are paired with experienced workers who will guide you through flagging, communication, and safety protocols. All you need is enthusiasm, attentiveness, and a love for motorsports.

What You’ll Do:

  • Signal track conditions to drivers using racing flags
  • Assist in responding to on-track incidents
  • Communicate with race control about race status and driver safety
  • Help ensure a safe, fair, and fun environment for all participants

How to Get Involved

Joining is easy! Sign up to volunteer at our next Arizona SCCA event and step right into the action.

SCCA COVID-19 Event Protocol Update

The CDC continues to provide updated general guidelines surrounding COVID-19 as areas of the country see new spikes in infection rates and variants. SCCA will continue to be fluid in event management protocols for all National-led events, looking to local and regional guidelines in conjunction with the CDC recommendations to determine individual event guidelines. Please check registration and event pages, and event supplemental regulations for specific event information.

Additionally, all event organizers should continue to “look local” to ensure all SCCA-sanctioned events meet all local COVID-19 protocol requirements.

Regardless of any national or local directives, all individuals remain free to wear a mask in any setting at any SCCA event, should they choose.

Important information:

Be sure to download and print the schedule/supps and the tech checkist prior to arriving at the event as no copies will be available at registration.
